Student Online Registration

The ACS Board of Education recently approved updates to the documentation needed to provide proof of residence for students to enroll in Alabaster City Schools. Proof of residence will be uploaded during the online registration process. Student Online Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year has not been opened yet.  *Check back soon for more details

For the 2024-2025 school year, the following documentation is required for all students enrolling in Alabaster City Schools:

  • Current Alabaster Water bill (current month or past 30 days) with the service name of the custodial parent or legal guardian
    -OR-

  • Current mortgage statement in the name of the custodial parent or legal guardian
    OR

  • A complete copy of the original, current lease/rental agreement signed by the property owner of record that lists the name of the custodial parent or legal guardian and child(ren) as occupants.

  • Custody papers (if applicable)

Residing with Others

A custodial parent or legal guardian residing in a property they do not own or lease, but who are residing with the homeowner, must complete a board-approved Residency Affidavit Form in person at the Board of Education's Central Office with the homeowner.

The homeowner must present the following in their name at the time of the affidavit:

An original warranty deed; current tax card OR a complete copy of the original or current mortgage statement AND an Alabaster Water Bill. 

The custodial parent/legal guardian must also provide two of the following documents in the name of the custodial parent or legal guardian listing the address stated on the affidavit:

  • Government-issued ID

  • Driver’s license;

  • Government-issued voter registration card

  • Vehicle registration receipt

  • Other documents upon specific approval by the Superintendent or designee.

This option is not available for leased or rented properties. For leased properties, the custodial parent or legal guardian must be listed as an occupant on the lease. 

Affidavits must be completed in-person in front of a notary public at the Board of Education's Central Office. Affidavits provided under false pretenses will be prosecuted. Home visits will be conducted multiple times throughout the school year for all affidavits. Affidavits will be completed July 15-18, July 29-August 2 at the Board of Education's Central Office.

**Walk-in online registration help will be available at the Central Office July 15-18, July 22-25, July 29-August 2. Hours are 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. No appointment is needed. Please bring your documents to upload. Translators will be available. 

*For returning students only, the primary contact from your student’s PowerSchool account will receive an email with details for the online registration process. The email will contain Snapcodes. Snapcodes are unique student identifiers that will be necessary for registration. The email will come from PowerSchool Registration Support Email PowerSchool Registration Support   If you do not see the PowerSchool email in your inbox, please check your spam folder.

Back to School Checklist!

Make Sure the Following Is Completed Before Your Child's First Day!

All Students and Parents:

___ Complete online registration, including proof of residence.

___ Submit the Free/Reduced Lunch application, if applicable. (Lunches will not be free this school year unless you qualify.)

___ Add money to your child's lunch account at MySchoolBucks. (Lunches will not be free this school year.)

___ Make sure your child’s immunizations are up to date and medication forms are completed and turned in.

___ Review the school calendar.

___ Attend Warrior Day/Open House:

  • Friday August 2nd, 2024

    • CVES / MVES 8am - 12pm

    • TIS 10am - 2pm

    • TMS 12pm - 4pm

    • THS 2pm - 6pm

___ Attend Parents' Night/Orientation. 

___ Confirm your child's bus transportation route.

___ Check your school or teacher’s supply list.

___ Make sure you check your email on file regularly. Email is one of our primary methods of communication. If you need to update the email on file, contact your child's school.
